Aaron Jaggar, CEO of Nature Conservation Margaret River Region will tell of his involvement in the plan to rid New Zealand of all introduced animal pests by 2050.Aaron moved to the Margarer River region from his native New Zealand where he was working as the General Manager of Conservation Volunteers New Zealand for a decade.Stoats Weasels and Ferrets are mustelids. All three species were introduced to New Zealand as early as 1879 to control rabbits that were destroying sheep pasture. From very early on, stoats have had a devastating effect on New Zealand's unique birdlife.Rats, Cats and Possums are all in the firing line.
